How do I show up for emergency plumbing searches?
Be honest about your hours and make calling you take one tap. Google shows open businesses first for urgent searches. If you do take emergency call-outs, say so clearly, with the areas and hours you cover. If you don't, say that too. It saves you the wasted calls.
Where should my Gas Safe number go?
On every page, in text, not just as the yellow logo. Customers can check your number on the Gas Safe Register, and many do before letting anyone near a boiler. If you're an accredited installer for a boiler manufacturer, that belongs on your boiler page too, but only if it's true.
Should a plumber show boiler prices?
A range, yes. Your usual fitted price for a like-for-like combi swap is exactly what customers are trying to find out. Firms that give a range get the call. Firms that say "contact us for a quote" get skipped.
What I'd set up for a plumber
- A website built from scratch if you don't have one yet, or your current one kept and fixed
- Separate pages for boiler installs, boiler repairs and servicing, bathrooms and emergency call-outs
- Google Business Profile with accurate hours and the right main category
- Gas Safe number visible on every page
- Tap-to-call stuck to the bottom of the screen on phones
- Review requests after each job, because heating customers leave reviews when you've just fixed a cold house
